We’re Recruiting New Board Members for 2023!

 

We’re inviting people with a passion for food systems and skills in fundraising, the Spanish language, and/or community engagement with local businesses and marginalized populations to join our mission to create a more just and less wasteful food system.

Beyond any skills or experience, we want those who are excited to advance our food justice, waste reduction, and hunger relief efforts!

A Look Back at LFR’s Impact in 2022

 

We left 2022 with some HUGE accomplishments:

  • Redistributed 74,579 lbs of food that would have otherwise gone to waste
  • Valued at $372,895 in grocery savings and providing 62,149 meals
  • Preventing 16 tons of CO2eq from entering our atmosphere
  • Served approximately 1,400 individuals per month

New Year, New Website!

We are very excited to launch our new Longmont Community Fridges website! Visit the page to find your nearest fridge location and ways you can participate in the growing “freedges” movement. We have opportunities to donate food, volunteer, donate a fridge, host a fridge, and even design a fridge!
If you have food or time you’d like to donate, please look over our Community Guidelines listed on the website!
