Pop-Up Produce Distribution THIS Friday!

For the second summer in a row, LFR and UpRoot Colorado are co-hosting pop-up produce distributions in the Longmont United Hospital parking lot. Our next one is this Friday, August 19 from 4-6pm. Details on our Facebook page!

Longmont Community Fridges Project

LFR and UpRoot Colorado have been working all summer on our new collaborative Longmont Community Fridges project! Thanks to the generous donation of 2 commercial fridges from Growing Gardens Food Project Farm, we will be able to provide 24/7 free food access to our community, a first in the Longmont area. Firehouse Art Center created beautiful designs for both fridges and dry storage units, and we painted them this month with the help of Longmont High School’s football team. These first 2 fridges will be placed at our community partner sites Longmont United Hospital and Agape Safe Haven, and we aim to expand to additional sites in the next year. Donate to LFR to help support this innovative new food access opportunity in Longmont!

Want to help LFR?

We are currently seeking new food donation partners to help meet the increasing need for hunger relief resources. If you know of any local food producers who may want to donate their excess food, we would love to connect! We always welcome financial donations to support the work we do, and new volunteers.  Email [email protected] if you’d like to get more involved!
