Longmont Community Fridges Project

LFR and¬†UpRoot Colorado¬†have been working all summer on our new collaborative¬†Longmont Community Fridges¬†project! Thanks to the generous donation of 2 commercial fridges from¬†Growing Gardens Food Project Farm, we will be able to provide 24/7 free food access to our community, a first in the Longmont area.¬†Firehouse Art Center¬†created beautiful designs for both fridges and dry storage units, and we painted them this month with the help of Longmont High School’s football team. These first 2 fridges will be placed at our community partner sites¬†Longmont United Hospital¬†and¬†Agape Safe Haven, and we aim to expand to additional sites in the next year.¬†Donate to LFR¬†to help support this innovative new food access opportunity in Longmont!
